Based upon a True Story
Veronica's Friends
On a quiet farm filled with green fields, winding streams, and thoughtful pauses, lives Veronica the Clever Cow — and she is never alone.
Veronica has a special way of noticing things. She listens carefully, thinks things through, and believes that every problem deserves patience and kindness. When something feels tricky, confusing, or a little bit scary, her friends know exactly where to go.
There’s Otto the Horse, proud and wise, Veronica’s closest friend and trusted confidant — the one she turns to when she needs to think something through out loud. Liesel the Calf is Veronica’s own daughter, young and full of wonder, discovering the world one careful question at a time.
Greta the Goat means well, but she has a wonderful habit of getting things wonderfully muddled — and somehow that always leads somewhere interesting. And Seppi the Sheep is happy wherever the day takes him, trotting along cheerfully without ever worrying too much about where that might be.
Each friend is different, but that’s what makes life on the farm so special. Together, they learn that it’s okay to slow down, to ask questions, to try again, and to help one another along the way.
Veronica doesn’t solve problems for her friends — she helps them discover their own clever solutions. And in doing so, they all learn something new about courage, confidence, and believing in themselves.
Welcome to the world of Friends of Veronica — where every friend matters, every idea counts, and thinking things through is always worth it.
Veronica's Friends
Otto the Horse
Personality & Traits:
- Proud and quietly wise
- Veronica’s closest friend and confidant
- Steady, dependable, and thoughtful
- Sometimes acts as a gentle mentor when Veronica needs a sounding board
Otto is the friend Veronica trusts most. He listens without rushing, speaks when it matters, and has a way of helping Veronica see things from a different angle. Their friendship is built on years of quiet understanding — and the occasional very long conversation by the fence.
Liesel the Calf
Personality & Traits:
- Young and full of wonder
- Veronica’s own daughter
- Eager to learn and quick to observe
- Finding her feet in a big world
Liesel sees everything — she just isn’t always sure what it means yet. Growing up with Veronica as her mother means she’s learning that the best way to understand the world is to ask good questions, take your time, and trust that the answers will come.
Seppi the Sheep
Personality & Traits:
- Happy, easygoing, and wonderfully uncomplicated
- Content to follow wherever the day leads
- Not one for overthinking
- Brings a cheerful calm to even the most chaotic moments
Seppi isn’t one for plans. Or questions. Or really minding very much about anything at all. He turns up, he follows along, and he seems perfectly satisfied with however things turn out. There’s something quietly lovely about that — and Veronica wouldn’t change a single woolly thing about him.
Greta the Goat
Personality & Traits:
- Enthusiastic and full of good intentions
- Wonderfully prone to getting things muddled
- Leaps first, thinks second
- Somehow always ends up somewhere interesting
Greta never means to cause confusion — it just tends to follow her. Whether she’s misread the situation, taken a wrong turn, or arrived at exactly the wrong moment in exactly the wrong way, life around Greta is never dull. Veronica has learned to appreciate that some of the best adventures start with a Greta-shaped mistake.
Pip the Piglet
Personality & Traits:
- Enthusiastic, eager, and big-hearted
- Acts first, thinks somewhere around third or fourth
- Always ready for fun (especially if mud is involved)
- Believes every problem can be solved by jumping straight in
Pip is pure enthusiasm with four little hooves. He doesn’t walk into the day — he charges into it, ears flapping and tail wagging, ready for whatever comes next. He doesn’t always think things through, but his heart is always in the right place. Veronica has discovered that the farm is a little brighter, and quite a bit muddier, with a Pip-sized splash of energy in it.
Millie the Mouse
Personality & Traits:
- Small, careful, and quietly observant
- Notices the things everyone else walks straight past
- Thinks deeply about every decision
- Has a curious habit of getting the quantities slightly wrong
Millie sees the world from her own quiet corner, and she misses very little. She thinks. She plans. She considers. The only trouble is that when it comes to numbers — how much, how many, how big — Millie’s careful calculations have a way of arriving in not-quite-the-right size. Veronica has learned that Millie’s heart is always exactly right, even when her acorns aren’t.

What begins as a simple scratch soon becomes a clever discovery that helps more than just Veronica. A gentle, funny story about curiosity, problem-solving, and the power of noticing what others miss. Available Worldwide When the animals need help, they shout. And shout. And shout. But the messages don't always get through. Veronica begins to wonder if there's a better way to be heard. With a bell, a rope, and some clever timing, she discovers that clear communication can make all the difference. A story about listening, sharing ideas, and finding your voice. Available Worldwide Veronica loves to help. A muddy blanket? Lost acorns? A hat stuck in a tree? She'll find a way. But when every animal on the farm starts calling her name at once, Veronica discovers that even the cleverest cow can't do everything alone. A warm, reassuring story about kindness, knowing your limits, and learning that rest isn't giving up — it's how we keep going. Available Worldwide The animals found a wishing well. Every wish would come true. What could possibly go wrong? When the animals discover an old wishing well at the far corner of the farm, they can't believe their luck. One wish each, one at a time — what could be more exciting? But Pip's wish for the biggest mud puddle floods the farmyard. Otto's wish to be the loudest knocks apples from the trees. And when Millie wishes for a mountain of acorns, they pour from the sky like rain. Who will be brave enough to lead them through? Dark clouds gather over the farm. The wind howls, the rain hammers down, and thunder rumbles across the fields. Greta hides her eyes, Otto stamps nervously, and even brave little Liesel begins to shake. It takes Veronica to gather everyone safely into the warm barn. With a quiet song, a soft blanket, and a friend on either side, the animals begin to feel a little less afraid. Veronica reminds them that storms don't last forever — and that being brave doesn't mean not feeling scared. A heartwarming story about courage, comfort, and the gentle bravery of facing big feelings with the friends who love you. Available Worldwide Veronica has never seen the ocean. She has heard it was big. Very, very big. When Ralf the farmer takes the animals to the beach, Greta dashes for the warm sand, Otto trots beside the waves, and Liesel hunts for shells. But Veronica stays back from the water — what if the ocean is too big? It takes a gentle nudge from Liesel and one small step at a time before Veronica discovers something wonderful — the water is warm, the sand is soft, and a tiny wave can tickle a cow's ankles in the loveliest way. A warm, reassuring story about facing new things, taking small brave steps, and finding that with friends beside you, even the biggest adventures feel safe. Available Worldwide
